Players Circle Theater invites you to be part of a community of theater volunteers that play a vital role in putting art on our stages.
Many individuals have the desire to become part of a theater and The Players Circle Theater and Arts Center is looking for those individuals to become part of our family of theater volunteers.

Help with VIP events
Assist with mailings
Of particular interest is having individuals, working in pairs, to staff the theater’s informational tent at the Shell Factory flea markets; not only will they provide theater information but also give tours of the theater.

Levels of Theater Volunteering
The Players Circle theater is looking for dedicated people to assist patrons as ushers and customer service; these theater volunteers see the shows free!
Auxiliary to the Advisory Board
You can see and do even more with Players Circle as an influencer and organizer. You can meet the actors. Talk with the directors. Work on special projects. Assist in organizing and staffing fundraising projects and help develop new theater activities and events. Plan and/or host special events to entertain and support Players Circle.

Front of House Players
We are looking for dedicated, friendly people to assist patrons with seating, programs, and general customer service.
Help in Sets, Lights, Costumes, Running Crew assisting Stage Management
Have special skills, work with a team, enjoy “the smell of the greasepaint, roar of the crowd.”

Behind the Scenes Players
“Spotlight,” after show talkbacks and gatherings are an opportunity to visit with the cast members, theater artists, and staff.
Fruit and cookie brigade: Support the artists behind the scenes by providing meals, cookies, snacks, and fruit for actors and crew during tech week, photo calls, education events, and receptions.
Players Circle housing: Help secure and set up housing for out of town artists. The actors’ stay here is for seven weeks, but we also need housing for two-week periods during the overlaps. Designers are housed for one-week periods through the season.
Office Volunteers: Provide vital support for the administrative staff and Patron Services Office for mailings and other large projects.

The Players Circle Theater was developed by veterans of the Southwest Florida theatre movement, Carrie Lund Cacioppo and Robert Cacioppo.
They are prominent faces of theatre in Lee County for over 35 years, having started Lee County’s first professional theatre on Sanibel Island and the Florida Repertory Theatre, named “One of America’s best regional theatres” by The Wall Street Journal. Players Circle Theatre is a professional black box theatre providing Broadway-level entertainment.
